Fall 2009 Fashion Trends

New York –  It’s no secret that women are the world’s greatest mystery and it’s no secret we like it that way. We are strong, independent, graceful, feminine, dramatic and completely over-the-top. We dress for our emotions and every day lends a different inspiration. This season, accessory trends revolve around the many sides of a woman because we all know we are simply impossible to pinpoint. 

As women, we are inspired by any and everything. We need exquisite pieces that can adapt with us and we will not cease the hunt until we find them. Welcome to the first key trend of Fall:

The appreciation for a little known skill we have as women - - - the ability to dress like men and sometimes look even better in their attire than they do!  It’s about finding that perfect balance between stuffy elegance and understated modernity for a look that is simply Inspirational. Keep an eye out for metals in grayed tones with a touch of modern gloss.  This trend focuses on bangles, complex hoops earrings and necklaces that feature silver plated pearls, drops and interlocking hoops. Masculinity meets femininity this Fall. So, what are you waiting for? Get Inspired. 

It’s easy for us to get inspired by the second key trend for fall. It’s all about the gold-diggers. Every woman has a weakness for gold. We love being adorned, feminine and utterly elegant. This season lends attention to warm tones and golden metallics with surface contrasts that add a touch of Allure. Keep in mind that this trend revolves around the struggle between demure rebellion and raw sensuality. Look for decadent necklaces, golden chain earrings and complex bracelets. Double your Allure this season by bringing out your inner glamourista. She’s pretty fantastic. 

Don’t be fooled, as women we are a walking mystery, but we are utterly bewitching. The third key trend for fall discovers the magic that lies behind the woman, better known as the Enchantment factor. We are graceful and feminine, but when push comes to shove we can be bold, daring and often times eccentric. This season look for a palette of warm tones that exude a casual spirit. It’s about channeling our love for an Enchanted every day. Through expressive necklaces, raw stones and an unparalleled attention to detail, this trend truly comes to life.  This fall is practically begging us as women to embrace our own Enchanted irony. Its well worth it, we promise. 

The final key trend for Fall dares to go where few willingly explore: the Dramatic. Let’s be honest, we all crave a little drama in our lives.  Don’t get me wrong, we will never admit it, but we gravitate toward it. So why not give in and be a full-on Drama Queen?  We are influenced by the artsy, the eccentric and the avant-garde. We follow our impulses and live for the moment. This trend focuses on expressive undertones with tension and over-dramatic contrasts. An attention to detailing becomes evident with ripped out yarns and frayed edges. Look for cuff bracelets with raw edges, necklaces and earrings featuring grey pearls and the dramatic contrast of black and crystals. Drama seems a little more tolerable, doesn’t it?
